ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

The Foundation offers a means to support religious and educational missions of the Archdiocese of Omaha, its parishes, and schools. Donors may make specific or general gifts directly to the Foundation to support Catholic programs operating under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Omaha.  Donors have the option to make cash gifts, gifts of securities, gifts of property, life insurance, annuities and other approved gifts.  Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible, as the Foundation qualifies as an organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

In addition, the Foundation manages endowment and other restricted funds for Omaha Archdiocesan parishes and schools and ensures that those funds are invested in ways that are consistent with Catholic values.

OUR VALUES

Our Vision

We will be seen as a deeply valued, highly respected and integral part of the northeast Nebraska community that is continually responsive to changing needs, in service to our parishes, schools, supporting ministries and closest stakeholders, bringing each of us closer to Christ while creating better futures.

Our Mission

The Catholic Futures Foundation of Northeast Nebraska, with Catholic values at the forefront, professionally manages, stewards and invites investment into our northeast Nebraska community, giving all members unique opportunities to positively impact the future of the Church and transform lives.

Our Promise

  • We will continue to be faithful stewards of all gifts and will manage assets in a professional, transparent and economical manner as we have done since 1975.

  • We will be accessible to all donors and recipients in northeast Nebraska, acknowledging that meaningful gifts and needs come in all sizes. While we are united as One Church, we honor the unique cultures of each of our parishes in rural and urban communities. We will work in partnership with donors, account holders, recipients, parishes, schools and ministries toward a common purpose of transforming lives.

  • We will provide excellent service to our donors, account holders and recipients as stewards of the gifts that have been entrusted to us. We will serve our community and its needs in keeping with the donors’ intent, our mission and the teachings of Christ.
  • Who Does the Catholic Futures Foundation Serve?

    Individuals, Families and Organizations

Whether you are an individual donor or in leadership at a parish, school or ministry, the Catholic Futures Foundation can help you create a legacy of support for the causes you or your organization are most passionate about.

    Ways to invest:

    • Give to an existing fund – through cash, appreciated stock or retirement assets, to name a few.
    • Create your own fund – You can establish a named fund in honor or in memory of someone who has made a difference in your life. A minimum of $25,000 is required to start a new endowment fund and future contributions can be made in any amount. Over 60 Donor-Named funds currently reside in the Catholic Futures Foundation.
    • Make Planned Gifts – By including a bequest to the Catholic Futures Foundation in your will or living trust and working with Foundation staff to set up an endowment, you are ensuring the parish, school or ministries you choose to benefit are supported in perpetuity. When you remember the Foundation or other archdiocesan entities in your will, we invite you to become a member of the Archdiocese of Omaha’s Living Legacy Circle.
    • Pursue your mission - The Catholic Futures Foundation can help your parish, school or ministry steward its financial resources so you can confidently pursue your mission and transform lives far into the future.

The endowment for Music in Catholic Schools has definitely kept us going. It’s a reliable source of income we can count on. It will help to sustain us for years and years. It is a comfort.”
